Therapeutic Group Retreats

What it is

Ember Centre’s Therapeutic Group Retreats offer a chance to disconnect to reconnect—with yourself, with others, and with nature. These retreats are designed to support deep rest, reflection, and healing through guided therapeutic experiences in nature.

Whether your group is navigating grief, burnout, life transitions, or simply craving meaningful connection, our retreats are a chance to step away from daily demands and reorient toward what matters most. Each retreat is guided by facilitators who are trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in therapeutic principles, blending group facilitation, individual reflection, and land-based healing.

We tailor these retreats for a variety of groups, including:

  • Grieving individuals or families

  • Youth in care or involved in justice systems

  • Human-service professionals and frontline teams

  • Families or chosen families

  • Healing circles and community-based groups

  • Friend Groups

  • Teams

What it looks like at Ember Centre

  • Team-building and restoration retreats

  • Youth identity and belonging retreats

  • Guided camping or land-based healing weekends

Retreats are facilitated by skilled, facilitators with a counselling background who bring a lens of attachment, trauma-awareness, and cultural humility. We prioritize emotional safety, choice, and a balance of structure and spaciousness—creating room for both therapeutic depth and rest.
