Youth Counselling
What it is
At Ember Centre, our Youth Counselling service is a supportive, one-on-one therapeutic experience for individuals aged 12–30, and warmly welcomes those outside this age range who feel aligned with our approach. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, grief, stress, anger, trauma, low self-esteem, or other emotional experiences, our counsellors are here to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.
Counselling sessions are tailored to suit your needs and comfort—this might mean meeting in our warm and inviting counselling office, engaging in walk-and-talk therapy out in nature, or connecting virtually. We honour each client’s readiness and pace, recognizing that therapy is a personal and deeply individual process.
What it looks like at Ember Centre
At Ember Centre, meeting clients where they are at is not just a philosophy—it’s a practice. Our therapists build relationships rooted in safety, trust, and compassion. We often work with individuals who come into the counselling space with protective walls built from past hurts or fear of vulnerability.
Over time, and with gentle, relational guidance, we witness the powerful unfolding of trust—where those walls begin to soften. Whether we're sitting together in our thoughtfully designed counselling room, walking side by side on a forest trail, or connecting over a secure video call, the setting is always chosen with the client’s sense of emotional and physical safety in mind.
We honour the courage it takes to engage in therapy and support our clients in identifying their goals—whether that’s navigating transitions, building coping tools, processing past wounds, or deepening self-awareness.
